The die casting process of magnesium alloys is similar to that of other alloys, but due to the different characteristics of magnesium alloys, there are differences in the application of pressure, speed, temperature and coating.

2. Equipment safety protection

Magnesium alloy furnaces cannot use nickel-containing stainless steel, nor can smelting tools use nickel-containing stainless steel. The furnace body should preferably have a double-layer structure design. When the inner crucible breaks, the molten magnesium can flow into the interlayer between the inner and outer layers. At the same time, the alarm will stop heating, so that the molten magnesium will not flow outside and cause danger. Always check the furnace for rust, and clean it up in time if there is rust.

During the production process of the magnesium alloy die casting mold temperature controller, the most important thing is to keep the site dry and clean. Before each start-up, the mold should be preheated to above 150°C. Do not spray too much paint when spraying, so as to avoid water accumulation in the cavity and cause danger. In addition, try not to cool the punch and mold with water. The cooling of the punch can be cooled by air, and the heating and cooling of the mold generally use high temperature resistant oil. 3. Magnesium alloy accident treatment

These fire extinguishing equipment should be placed in a conspicuous place and convenient for emergency use on site. Dry sand and covering agents should be stored in containers to prevent moisture, and should be checked frequently .

4. Magnesium alloy is flammable and explosive, and it is high-pressure and high-speed during die-casting, so it has high requirements for die-casting equipment, and inferior die-casting equipment has potential dangers.

The operation of the die-casting mold temperature machine needs to inject molten magnesium liquid into the mold cavity at a speed of 70-100 m/s (at the gate) for molding. Because molten magnesium is flammable and explosive, it will burn violently when it encounters oxygen, explode when it encounters water, and react violently when it encounters rust, concrete containing moisture, and refractory materials containing silicon, and it is difficult to extinguish the fire. A large fire cannot be extinguished, so the performance, reliability and safety of the die-casting equipment are extremely high, and inferior equipment can easily cause disasters and accidents. In the process of exploring and applying, there have been many major safety accidents caused by equipment problems at home and abroad. Inferior magnesium alloy die-casting mold temperature equipment may also cause disaster accidents and safety and quality problems.
